Clock Tower 2012
This was a work from when I was still a student at COFA UNSW.
The Clock Tower is a short 2D animation made using both traditional and digital methods.
The background was produced through traditional watercolour painting methods and the characters were drawn and mapped onto the background digitally. This was an experiment project testing the differences and limits in both digital and traditional animation techniques.
Since this was a student project, carried out by myself, the quality of the animation itself is not the highest there is. However, this was a good learning experiences in measuring my own strengths and weaknesses. By animating characters that move differently to humans, I was able to understand the gap between animation anatomy and what it actually appears on screen.
